I am really new to the whole blog thing and I feel
that I have really neglected posting up recently. I have been really busy with
markets. Mathew and I are now doing nearly 1 per week. So nearly every chance I
have free I am making cards or replenishing my stock of cards and gifts. As my
previous post showed my gifts that I had at my stall at Boneo’s market I would
like to tell you that I am very happy with the response that I got from the
public, they really liked them. I sold at least one of each. I also had on
display the notepad and pen sets and the post it note holders as shown in a
previous post. I really liked the atmosphere at Boneo’s market. I took the
remaining gifts and sold them with my cards at last Saturday’s Tootgarook
market. Even though I was hoping to sell some of my Mother’s day cards, I
noticed that people were more interested in purchasing my gifts rather than
buying cards. I sold out of the post it note holders, so yesterday I was making
up a new batch. Somehow it has been so long since I originally made the post it
note holders that I seem to have lost my template. I am just hoping these new
ones will be as popular.
I am hopefully sometime this week going to prepare a
card example for May’s class. Although I handed out about 75 flyers advertising
March’s card class we had no one call or show up. I must admit I was a little
discouraged but I am going to keep trying. I have put an advertisement in a
local magazine for the next couple of weeks so hopefully we might get some
response from that.
